| French politician Edouard Daladier was a radical socialist. He was elected to the French Chamber of Deputies in 1919, and in 1924 he served in the French cabinet. Daladier became Premier for the first time in 1933, a position he held for a mere nine months. In 1934, he had an even shorter stint in the job: two months. He became premier once again in 1938. Daladier was a strong supporter of appeasement, and signed the "Munich Accords" for France. He was arrested and held in Germany during the war. After the war he served in Parliament until 1958. |
