The History of Aviation Airlines Air France AeroflotAir France was created by a merger of several French airline companies in 1933. Air France inaugurated Paris-New York service in 1945. In 1976 Air France initiated Concord flights between Ê Paris and New York and Washington. Service ended in the spriing of 2003. Air France aquired UTA and Air Inter in 1990.
